NRC is a powerful addon used to gain more situational wareness in raid as well as track consumes usage, enchants and more. We in Glacier require everyone to use this addon due to its usefulness in raid. But to gain the maximum advantage from the addon its important to learn the ropes before heading into raid.
Instructions
On screen while raiding you have 3 elements, cooldowns, scrolling raid events and raid mana. To get the most out of NRC you need to position these ahead of raid by running a frames test.
1. Press escape and navigate to options.
2. Select the AddOns tab and go to NovaRaidCompanion.
3. Under General Options press "Start Frames Test" at the top and the 3 elements will show on screen for a brief period.
4. You may need to repeat this process a few times before you are perfectly comfortable with the result.

Instructions
The second piece to the puzzle is a live updating grid that shows you who is in need of buffs, consumables or is missing enchants on gear. This is a very useful tool for buff classes, raid leaders, but also for all raiders to keep each other honest. Your buddy using carrot on a stick? Let him know before the raid leader notices!
1. Left click the NRC minimap logo to bring up the grid.
2. Press the icon under the column called "Equip" for the players gear/enchants you want to inspect.
3. Press the icon under the column called "Talents" for the players talents you want to inspect.

Last but not least lets look at NRCs Raid Logs functionality. In this panel you can find detailed breakdowns of who used what consumable for the full raid, but also buff snapshots showing you who had what buff at the time of pulling that specific boss. Use this to your advantage, find out where you miss using consumables and correct it!
1. Right click the NRC minimap logo to bring up the Raid Log view.
2. Press the row of the raid you want to inspect further.
3. Once in the raid you can check consumable use per boss, buff snapshots per boss and also Consume use for the full raid.

You now have the tools to have a little better situational awareness in raid.
